Zee Nxumalo’s “Cosh’ uPin” Is the Gqom Dance Craze You Need to Know

If your TikTok feed is suddenly full of people reaching for the floor, you can blame Zee Nxumalo, Goldmax, Woza Bakzin and Ornica Bellz.

The Durban-born vocalist features on “Cosh’ uPin”, the breakout fan favourite from Goldmax and Woza Bakzin’s 14-track collaborative album, Gqom In Black.

What started as a spontaneous studio session has turned into a full-blown dance moment, with the track inspiring creators across South Africa to take on the catchy “Cosh’ uPin” challenge.

The concept is simple: dance, reach for the floor and, well… pick up the Pin!

For Zee, the collaboration was a special one. She describes Goldmax and Woza Bakzin as incredibly talented and says their chemistry created “magic”.

She also credits Durban for embracing her sound, calling the city her “second home” and expressing her gratitude for the producers who continue to recognise her talent.

Meanwhile, Gqom In Black brings together two of the genre’s prominent producers for a project celebrating Gqom’s past, present and future.

One spontaneous studio moment. One infectious beat. One very catchy dance.

“Cosh’ uPin” is officially having a moment.
